2023 SUMMER INTERN (paid and housing) - A summer intern will be employed by Deertrees Theatre (156 Deertrees Rd., Harrison, ME 04040) and Denmark Art's Center (50 W Main St. Denmark, ME) June 5-Sept 7. The expected weekly combined hours are 25 and will include various duties at both locations. A valid driver's license and a reliable car is a must for this position. Deertrees and DAC are also requiring that our intern is vaccinated.
Deertrees Intern (approx. 20 hrs./week)- We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic intern who is interested in learning and working in some of the technical theater areas such as lighting, sound and set design. Social media knowledge and engagement is also a plus. Assisting in the Salt Lick Café for Cabaret setup and concession work as well as some light cleaning will also be included in the duties for this position.
The shared position at Denmark Arts (approx 11 hrs./week) main facility in downtown Denmark Village is outlined here.
DUTIES: Include but are not limited to assisting the director in all aspects of implementing the DAC’s summer program, with special emphasis on marketing and management. Tasks may include but not limited to:

11 Hours / week.
FR 5-9 (4hrs-box office) DAC
SA 11:30-4:30 (5hrs-gallery & wkly. marketing) DAC
SU 1:30-5pm or TH 9-12:30 (3.5hrs) DAC
WE 9-3 (6hrs-camp 6/29-7/27)

- Updating and generating content for the DAC’s social media
- Updating and maintaining DAC website
- Generating and distributing weekly press releases
- DAC box office duties for performances and special events
- Miscellaneous support tasks as needed
EXPECTATIONS:
- Fluency with Instagram, Facebook, and other social media
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, word, excel, etc.
- An outgoing and dynamic personality
- Transportation
- On time and organized
