Don has the unique and uncanny ability to sing comfortably in the tenor range of Vince Gill, Chris Isaak, or Dan Fogelberg and go easily into the subbass vocal level of Country greats like Josh Turner and Johnny Cash. Don Campbell is a multi-instrumentalist who plays acoustic guitar, piano, B3 Organ, bass, electric guitar, mandolin and harmonica in his recordings. Don was the recipient of the $50,000 Grand Prize at Nashville's Grand 'Ol Opry with his original music, he is a 6-time winner of "Maine's Best Singer-Songwriter" and was recently nominated as a Top Ten Finalist in the 2020 International Acoustic Music Awards in the category of Best Male Artist. The Don Campbell Band is a multifaceted, energetic group which blends many musical styles. From Don’s own heartfelt, original creations to the music of Dan Fogelberg, The Eagles, The Smithereens, Johnny Cash, John Denver, ZZ Top and more… there is never a dull moment with their presentations. |
