When Deertrees Theatre first came into being in the 1930's its creator Enrica Clay Dillon had the backing for the build and the wherewithal to keep the theater buoyant with alternative revenue streams. These lifelines have long since vanished and over the years the sustainability of the theater has been a challenge and its very existence threatened. Ticket revenue does little enough to cover the season expenses let alone make inroads into the sustainability of the building and the organization. From experience we estimate that annually there is a need to invest nearly $15K yearly for the upkeep of the building alone. The limited length of the season provides an enormous challenge and there is always the need to 'renew and replace', in the interest of safety, innovation and to facilitate the staging of concerts and theater. PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE!
